The Malaysian House Competition is part of the KLAF2020: BEYONDโ€™s program

It is a competition open to all member categories of PAM

Architects have long been associated with the continuous evolution of the design of houses. Often setting new design directions, modular standards, material use, proportions, trends, lifestyles and aesthetics

In fact many built their careers from the design of a house. Notable ones include Gerrit Reitveldโ€™s Schroder House, Le Corbusierโ€™s Villa Savoye, Frank Llyod Wrightโ€™s Fallingwater, Mies Van Der Roheโ€™s Farnsworth House, Philip Johnsonโ€™s Glass House, Robert Venturiโ€™s house for his mother, Tadao Andoโ€™s Azuma House, Frank Gehryโ€™s house in Santa Monica and more

This competition offers a platform for architects via their design to explore, narrate, record and represent the changes and evolution of the Malaysian house to match current and future aspirations

Architects can research and develop new ideas for what the Malaysian House should be for now and the future

Registration for the Competition is now OPEN
