Fees collected are used to fund all MALA activities. Efforts are underway to apply for funding or grants from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government so as to provide MALA with stronger financial resources.
- The membership admission fee (membership fees) for every member should be settled within three (3) months upon confirmation of its registration as MALA Member.
- Annual fees must be paid in advance without notice on or before the MALA Annual General Meeting held each year.

Payment can also be made directly to Maybank account: 562106105956 under the name Malaysian Association of Local Authorities. A copy of the transaction receipt is to be submitted to the Secretariat of MALA for further action.
